Leona Lewis defends her bf's job

I admire people who don't put pressure on themselves to live up to other people's expectations. To me, that's a sign that you've achieved the highest level in Maslow's hierarchy of needs already (lol!)

Well, in recent interviews, the press has been amused by the fact that Leona Lewis' boyfriend of seven years is an electrician. When asked about how the whispers and blatant remarks has affected her, the SUPER! girl answered:

"I find it very offensive. It's like, seriously? This is real life, it isn't make-believe. For people to think that you should leave someone because, all of a sudden, you're a singer and you have opportunities. I feel very sorry for them. It does make me angry. Because he's a great person. And it doesn't matter what you do in life, what your job is, where you come from. None of that matters to me, what matters is who you are as a person—nothing else."

I can't say I'm a big Leona Lewis fan (although I absolutely loved Bleeding Love), but that answer she gave showed me another dimension of her that I didn't know existed! Amazing girl! Her boyfriend must be so proud :)

It's no secret, but I was once a BIG boy band fan. One of my favorites was Boyzone who was soooo big in my elementary days. This news devastates me and it hurts that I have to be the one to share this with you all:

Stephen Gately is dead.

Yes. THE Stephen Gately.

He was found dead at his hotel room while vacationing in Spain with his hubby Andy Cowles yesterday, October 10, 2009.

I am dumbfounded by this news because even if Stephen wasn't my favorite Boyzone star, I have high respect for him being the second "best" singer in the band. It wouldn't be Boyzone without him. He filled the missing piece.

To Stephen, wherever you are, I hope you're happy. I also hope you would see that Boyzone fans all over the world are mourning right now. I want you to know that you guys made my childhood the sweet memory it is now. Rest in peace Stephen. Rest in peace.

I don't really watch videos on Youtube unless someone GREAT endorses it (in my case, it's usually my friends. hehe!) Well, hooray for my Celebrity twitter friends, I always get on the loop on the cutest, unofficial, & "homemade" videos!

It started with Taylor Swift posting a link of a guy with his own version of Love Story and now, we find other celebrities posting links to "versions" too!

I think this video is awe-mazing! I would usually get bothered with seeing guys--ehem, being all girly on screen but not this time! I actually think this video is well made and not too cheeky! I guess that's why they get such amazing endorsers! lol :)

For some reason, I also got a new appreciation for Miley's song! Second time she doesn't sound "disney" (first was with The Climb)

Blame the Gossip Girl reruns on ETC but somehow, I am starting to get impatient for Season 3 of the show! Why wait I say? There's always the internet! Hehe :P

Well, our girls from the other side of the world are as excited as we all are about the 3rd Season. Apparently, the show won't be aired until October 5 in the States but that doesn't mean there's no spoilers for us to feast on! Apart from the usual, "expect new characters", "chuck+blair is back!", "serena+dan is a no go" and other expected twists on the show, here's one you'll be delighted/dismayed to hear: Hilary Duff joins the cast!

Yes, yes! It's confirmed that Ms. Duff will be going on the show to play Olivia Burke, an actress that enrolled at NYU for a traditional college experience. There, she rooms with Vanessa and reports say she would also be Dan's new love interest! (Apparently, Olivia likes that Dan doesn't know she's a celebrity. doh!)

Hilary's character will come out on the 4th episode of Season 3 so it's something to look forward to. Gosh, Gossip Girl has really spun away from its original plot. As a Gossip Girl novel reader, I feel confu-fused!

So girls, what do you think about Hilary joining the show? Yay? or Nay?

Brewing catfight?

Celebrity tweets are what's keeping the rumor mills alive in Hollywood nowadays. We've seen it start new friendships (as in the case of Demi Lovato and Hayley Williams) and even put ammo to gun wars like in Spencer Pratt's case and whoever it is he is currently at war with (he's always mad at someone). Well, I see there's a little "spark" igniting in twitter world between Miley Cyrus and Perez Hilton! Look at their tweet exchange last night (or this morning, Western time):

I don't want to take sides but I want to point out a couple of things:
1. Miley does like to twitter quotations everyday, and not just one, she sends a couple consecutively. It can get a little "preachy"/"fake" sometimes.
2. Perez, it's soooo common for teens to use quotations and song lyrics as status messages. I don't know why but we just like to. Give Miley a break.

It would be interesting to see these two fight. It's always amusing to see the claws come out in Hollywood. But because we're PK girls, and we like to keep peace everytime, let's just hope this very little "dispute" would remain as it is: a brewing catfight. Keep your claws to yourself little kitties!

Shocking news from tinseltown!

Hollywood never fails to entertain, and we PK girls never fail to pass on the gossip! (hehe!) But hey, don't get us wrong. I wouldn't be blogging these if it weren't so shocking and interesting!

Shocker #1: Paula Abdul leaves Idol!
In a message she sent to her fans via twitter, Ms. Adbul says,

With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to Idol. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all I’ll miss being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon.

I honestly do not know what to feel about this. I mean, Paula's not my favorite judge but somehow not having her there is unimanigable to me right now. But I also have to say that part of me has this inkling that this may just be a way to have producers give in to her demands. I mean, what better way to do it but by letting them hear the people's qualms?

Shocker #2: Vanessa Hudgens poses naked again!
What's the deal with this Disney Star? Is she sick or something? We wouldn't be posting the uncensored pictures co'z this is a fairly wholesome site. Btw, the uncensored ones have been removed from the net already as order of Vanessa's lawyer.

Ooooh, Hollywood, you are so entertaining! What new thing will we be seeing in the days to come?

Kevin Jonas is engaged!

Apparently, the eldest Jonas decided to put a ring on it when he proposed to his long-time girlfriend Danielle Deleasa. Kevin popped the question on Danielle's doorstep this morning after flying in from a gig in Vancouver.

Kevin handed Danielle a cushion-cut diamond ring designed by him and Jacob and Co.

He finally traded in his purity ring for a wedding ring! Wow :) So one Jonas down, two more to go!

Congratulations Kevin! Although I know a lot of girls in the world was probably devastated by this news. Danielle, you're one lucky girl!

When I was watching Ellen the other day, she had Paris Hilton as guest. They were talking about Paris' doggie mansion which immediately sparked my curiousity! Fortunately for me, Paris also tweeted about it so lo and behold! We show you Paris' Doggie Mansion!

A grand staircase, huge closet, plus a chandelier?? Are you sure this is a dog house? Oh wow, the inside is as glamorous as the facade!

I can't believe her dogs have chewy vuitoon beds! Gosh! But then, what can we expect? Their mother is an heiress after all.

I have to admit though, they aren't as cute as I expected to be. I mean hey, it's Paris' dogs, I assumed they had golden fur or something. Hehe :P Kidding!

What really lucky dogs! It's a little too much especially when you think of how there are people who doesn't even have roofs over their heads. But as a dog owner, I kind of understand Paris. It's just so hard resisting your pets especially when you treat them as your own little babies. It's so easy to spoil them!

Ahhh... for now, Cookie and I will just drool over Paris' dog mansion and hope one day we'd get to buy Chewy Vuitoon beds too! ;)

The cat is out!

Although Adam Lambert never denied or admitted being gay while on Idol, people immediately assumed he was. Well, no more speculation for all of us, Adam has set the records straight with his Rolling Stones Magazine confession, saying, "I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay"

Good job Adam! No one is absolutely braver than one who is true to himself! Congratulations on making the cover!

Seeing double?

I have always noticed it since Idol began but now I just can't take it anymore!

Am I seeing double? Sisters? Mother-daughter? Twins??

Everything about them is so similar! Even the "dimples" in their jawline is the same! I wouldn't be surprised if they turned out to be related to each other. The resemblance is even greater when you see them talk. I think it's the jawline, and the shape of the face. Even their personalities are the same. Same fierceness and tough-girlness.

So PK girls, did you ever notice the resemblance too?

America has declared Kris Allen as their Idol!

I'm not denying that I'm not very happy with this. Hey, everyone has their own bets, right?

Prince bald-ing?

I confess. I had a crush on Prince William and Harry when growing up. At the time of Princess D's death, I was all about the older Prince, William. I mean, who didn't fall for those incredible good boy look? Ugh! But in High school, Harry blossomed into this really hot dude and William, well... found Kate. So of course, I started to choose Harry over him! hihi :P

I haven't been hearing of any news of him these couple of years that it surprised me to see him again on TMZ with this headline:

"Is Prince William going bald?"

Well, they had pictures as proof:

Ri-ri and CB!

I am a self-confessed fan of the Rihanna - Chris Brown love team. Haha! This is why I didn't mind standing for more than 3 hours at The Fort's Open Field the last time they were here. I just think that they would look so good together. The only problem was that neither of them was admitting that they are together!

The lack of acknowledgment from both parties, however, has finally been broken..well alright, almost broken. A day before the much-awaited Grammy's (where Riri and CB was supposed to perform together), news broke in the States that CB got arrested due to domestic dispute. He allegedly hit a woman (who witnesses claim to be Riri) and threatened the woman's life. The woman is still confined in the Cedar Sinai Hospital, trying to heal her bruises and wounds.

What's the current situation? Well, no one has confirmed if the woman is indeed, Rihanna. However, her lack of media appearance and string of concert cancelations, I believe is proof enough. As for Chris Brown, he is currently out on bail ($50,000) and no charges have been filed yet.

I have a problem with this being true...would this mean that Riri and CB would now break-up?! OMG. They haven't even 'fessed up yet. Oh bummer.. :(

Time for our doze of Hollywood news! Leave it to the stars to keep us all entertained in the REEL and REAL world. So what's new in Tinseltown? Drama, drama, drama!

Scoop #1: Miley Cyrus is not so "innocent" after-all! Miley's recent pictures at Vanity Fair has got Hollywood buzzing! Is our favorite teen diva joining the Paris Hilton bandwagon? Oh please no!

Honestly though, I do not know how to react to these photos. Yes, they're surprising for a 15-year old (hey, imagine your highschool classmate posing like that!) but then we have to understand that pictures are just pictures and in fairness to her, the artistic photos are taken beautifully! I am a bit apprehensive though about the one with her father because it looks like she's her father's girlfriend or something. It doesn't look very "father-daughter" to me.

Well, this actually is not the first time that Miley got into a scandal because of her pictures. Remember last year when pictures of Miley and her friend with their lips almost touching shocked all of Hollywood?

Well, I won't comment on this one. I say, girls, it's up to you to decide.

Scoop #2: Sad news for Pete lovers out there but our favorite guitarist is finally tying the knot with girlfriend Ashley Simpson! *gasp!* There are news floating around that the reason the two is getting married is because Ms. Simpson is carrying Pete's baby! Well, Ashley hasn't confirmed nor denied any of the rumors but one thing she's definitely confirming is her engagement with Pete.

Well here's to their wedding next month! And oh by the way, they have recently won as one of the sexiest couples in People magazine! They really do make a hot couple, don't they? (*sobs* goodbye Pete! goodbye!)

Scoop #3: Is Lindsay Lohan having a lesbo relationship?? Hollywood is left dumb-founded with the news that it girl Lindsay Lohan may be having a lesbian relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson. The two has been spending an awfully lot of time together which makes the media suspicious. Of course Lindsay's side denies the rumors saying that the Ronson's are good friends with the Lohans and that Samantha and Lindsay are nothing but the best of friends.

DUI, anyone?

And 2007 just couldn't end without almost every Hollywood it girl getting their mug shots, ey? Well, much to my shock (and disappointment), I share with you, the latest DUI arrestee, Mischa Barton.

I really cannot believe Mischa would be found guilty of such accusations. Who would have thought our beloved Marisa from the OC is capable of such things? Well, looks really can deceive. Apparently, she's not a good girl afterall! So sad.

Well, 2007 is coming to an end and I do hope Mischa is the last of our it girls to get arrested for DUI. 2007 has been really harsh on our girls with Paris heading the bandwagon. Let's just hope none of the other girls would follow their lead-- or they could be less stupid and hire drivers this time. I mean, hello? They're too rich already, paying a driver is no biggie. Really.

Hey Peppermint Kiss girls! Before you go on celebrating and minding your own businesses this Christmas season, you have to know this bit of news first: Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant!

Yes girls, that's right! Britney Spears' younger sister and star of Zoey 101 Jamie Lynn is 12 weeks pregnant with boyfriend Casey Aldridge's baby!

The 16-year old Ms. Spears swears the pregnancy is unexpected but she has no plans of abortion. She is even considering marrying her already 2-year boyfriend Casey although their parents are against it as they think they are way too young.

Jamie's parents were 'devastated' with the news as "they tried very hard to have her act different from Britney" and thought she "had learned a lesson from watching Britney". Older sister Britney on the other hand denies her sister's pregnancy and refuse to comment about it although the Spears' have already sold the rights to OK! magazine to run the story.

There is still no news however on whether Nickelodeon will be axing Jamie's show as she is deemed a bad example to kids her age. But good news still to fans of the show as Season 4 will still be released as shooting for the season has already been completed.
